WWW.HOOGBOUW.COM is een initiatief van Hans Netten. Hans Netten is bouwkundig ingenieur en afgestudeerd aan de Technische Universiteit Delft.
In 1997 lanceerde Hans Netten ‘The High-Rise Pages’, inmiddels een verouderde en achterhaalde site, maar ten tijde van de introductie een van de allereerste hoogbouw-websites ter wereld. The High-Rise Pages werd sinds 1997 enkele miljoenen keren bezocht door belangstellenden uit meer dan 150 landen en onder andere CNN en de BBC besteedden er aandacht aan.
Het (technische) concept van The High-Rise Pages raakte in de loop der jaren zodanig verouderd dat Hans Netten in 2010 besloot om een nieuwe site over hoogbouw te lanceren: WWW.HOOGBOUW.COM. Het streven van WWW.HOOGBOUW.COM is om de meest complete Nederlandstalige site over Nederlandse hoogbouw te worden.
